Improving and Using Stacks
I have found Leopard’s new feature, Stacks, to be very beneficial however, it is greatly crippled by the default 10.5 icons. For this reason (Making the dock look hideous; Some may argue that the whole 3D thing does that itself) I had, more or less, overlooked and dismissed Stacks. However, thanks to a post from blog.cocoia.com I have taken a second look, improved the appearance, and began to find Stacks to be a very useful tool.

In the aforementioned post there is a link to an icon set of with enough icons to support most of the things that the average user might want to store in a stack. The icons look like storage containers and add so much to the overall appearance. Here is a link to the page which the icons can be downloaded.
Once you have downloaded the icons, make your choice, rename the icon with a random character (I use _) and set the stack to order by Name, that way, the icon you want is always in the front and will appear as though all your other icons sit inside of your new one.
